Me want this car
04.28.04 (6:48 pm)
:D
I want one of these but with the condition of the roads here, I probably loose one of those wheels. Not to mention getting out of the car once you've parked would not be easy.
Sigh, still have to wait another 5 years on my car loan....

 Now, this would be good for Malaysian prisons. Imagine getting paid to sit in prison...you get free food, lodging, security and now you get paid to beat up the other inmates.
KUALA LUMPUR: The poor performance of teachers in the Penilaian Tahap Kecekapan (Assessment of Efficiency Level) test is not reflective of their ability to teach, Education Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said. [more]
Wifey is a teacher and she commented to me how the teachers in her school had to sit for two exams (PTK exams), most didn't fail just that out of the two they only passed one and failed the other. Some failed both altogether. Nevertheless you must pass both to get a "Pass".
In my opinion, why have it at all. These things will only cause confusion, a case of hysteria among teachers and a rise in teachers leaving for greener pastures. We are already short of teachers, why make it so hard for them to survive in their vocation?

Ah weddings...
04.22.04 (6:25 pm)
:D Finally manage to blog. The train of work has finally pulled up at a station for a rest bite. I'm enjoying this lull in the work time-line in order to concentrate on something else.
A friend is getting married tomorrow and yours truly has been appointed Floor Manager for the day. My job is to make sure that everything is in place and running smoothly.
Among other things I am also to keep over-zealous fans from causing a ruckus (my friend is lead vocalist for a local band).
Beats being the MC or singer in the band (yes, I've done both). Finally I'm doing something different- I get to be the boss for the afternoon.
Mental note to myself - remember to iron wedding clothes...wonder if I'll get those ear-pieces that the US Secret Service use...

Some blurness is bad for health
04.14.04 (11:08 pm)
 There are certain things that are a mystery to me. How birds fly, why some people like stale tofu, why we waste thousands on handphones...
But office-mates who are dead blur beats them all.
In Malaysia the expression used when someone is known to be rather empty headed is "blur". I think it is equal to being labeled "bird-brain".
Well, this office-mate of mine has succeeded in raising my blood pressure and anxiety level pass healthy conditions.
I'm beginning to question why her parents spent so much money to send her for high-level education when what she is capable of would insult the intelligence of highly-evolve-brainy-chic kens.
In all respects I believe she has to change her attitude towards work. If you want to be great in life you must first of all work it out. Don't expect hand-outs. Work it out. To me she is just plain lazy...nah I've said it!
Anyway, she doesn't like cause I tend to tell her off. Feels odd to know that someone actually doesn't like you....

Monday again
04.11.04 (5:49 pm)
:D Monday is here and job quota has been stacked up again. Most of last week I was busy settling some bank stuff. Along the way I've managed to learn a few things from the banker guys.
Check through my planner and noticed that I am packed for this month and for the month of May. There are weddings to help organise, dinners to attend to, baby shopping trips and the occasional free-lance jobs to do.
How time flies, before you know it, it is already mid-year. The second half of this year will be really exciting. Baby coming, trips overseas and more projects to do. Include building a house somewhere in between all that.
Looking forward to each new day. You never know what would come your way...

Hm....Yo Newbie?
04.05.04 (6:33 pm)
Somebody pointed out that Jesus was not a Jew due to the fact that the term was only used 200 years after Jesus. Here are my thoughts on that.
Jesus didn't start a new religion nor did He practice a new religion. He merely pointed out the faults of the Jewish leaders in regards to their practices and beliefs of Judaism.
His very first act (one that almost got him killed) was to read from the Torah. In those days only selected Jewish men were allowed to read from the Torah. Thus, he knew how to read the Torah and what to read out of it. He was schooled in Judaism.
The new religion rose up after He was no longer on earth. From which became Christianity. 600 years later, Islam rose up in that area. So now within the Middle-east there was now three main religions or belief systems. Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In which Jesus is noted as a prophet to the muslim and the Messiah (The Christ) to the Christians. The Jews are mum about who he is.
Now, the term Jew was used for the tribe of Judah (1 of the 12 tribes of Israel). Jesus was both a Jew (descendant of Judah) and Levite (from his mother's side).
Though now the term Jew seems to point to every-one that resides in Israel, in actual fact non of them are true Jews since the tribes were lost after the Romans burnt down Jerusalem some 40 years after the death of Jesus.
Any-way, before newbie flames my blog. I'd just like to speak my 2 cents.
Why are the Jews sensitive over something that is historical fact? Some 2000 years ago they (those Jews) murdered their own. Plain and simple.
Though I do not agree nor accept what the Nazi did during WW2, from which the term anti-semitism came about but to say that a movie is anti-semitic when it shows a murderous act onto one of their own, now what gives?

It's the week-end
04.01.04 (6:08 pm)
:? The week-end is here and I'm looking forward to sleeping in late....alas I've got work to finish off this week-end...
Just to answer a question from Thiyagaraj, if my mum-in-law sees me walking around with the Punusher t-shirt, she'll probably freak out. She quite a super-stitious lady and seeing her son-in-law with a big skull plastered on his chest might not go down well.
In other news, I think the new PM is doing some really good stuff. Now elected representatives have to submit a report card for his evaluation. That will put them on their toes.
I have yet to see The Passion of The Christ but friends say that is in-sightful, sensitive and provocative. Noting the fact that it is deemed anti-semitic; I can't help but point out that Jesus was a Jew.
How can you call it anti-semitism when you crucified your own kin?
The Simpsons family goes on strike.
